On May 22, 2025, a treaty was signed between the UK and Mauritius, leading to increased support for Chagossians in the UK through various projects. The existing agreement with Sussex Community Foundation for the Chagossian Fund provided by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) will continue until at least March 2028.

To promote awareness, an information session organised in collaboration with Crawley Community Action will be held on July 5 from 2 PM to 5 PM at the Bewbush Centre. This event will provide an opportunity for funded groups to present their projects while offering information on the application process and available support.
